Hi all, Kindly help me identify this Ranchero. The dial diameter is 30mm. The watch looks pretty worn out and needs a good watchmaker's attention. But first I need the experts to certify this is a real genuine Ranchero. I am allowed to keep this watch wit...  

... to me looks pretty OK, although through an intense life. The movement serial number goes with approx. 1960, which is in keeping with the production dates. Many parts of this movement can be easily found. Hands and dial seem good to me. Case is like mi...

i´d fix the movement problems ( there will be rust under the plates....) & remove the black luminous remains from the markers ( they will have attributed to the poor state of the dial) & relume the hands with a greyish looking lume. different crown & slig... 

stamped on top of the 4 o´clock lug.... hard to see in the pics. looks like a small hole, but customs marked all incoming watches.... kind regards. achim...

Hi Edward, watch looks legit, it is like mine and seems original (not the crown) as Franco has pointed out. But is it worth to buy it in such desperate condition?? This model is not so scarce, so I think you can find much better examples within a reasonab...

Hi Edward, I'd definitely restore it (sympathetically - i.e. not overdone). Unlike some here, I don't see many of these around and if it was mine, I'd try to get it looking as good as possible without vandalizing it. Have fun - and let's see it when it's ...

... I have none with center seconds ! I am sure that you will make it, Rancheros are not hugely difficult to find in good conditions. But be careful because there are many around with later-produced parts. Especially croens and hands, and I have seen many...

Hi Edwin As others have stated it appears original to my eyes as well. But the movement has been exposed to a lot of moisture and will need major restoration. With the dial , I would disagree with Achim. I would not "touch" the dial and not re-lum it. As ...

this is the last "friendly" fresh-up for a canadian collector. spotted dial for a JLC MK 11. before and after. lume removed before;lume added after to match the hands. kind regards. achim...
