This Railmaster 2914-6 was really a lucky punch! I am glad to have a Omega professional watchmaker here, who is in the business for already 40 years! He checked this beast after my quick buy, as I had some doubts. But everything is as it should be! Nothing refinished, even the 1mm dial is untouched and in stunning condition. The gaskets have been changed and the movement has been serviced, although it was in a very good condition! We did not do any work on the case and you can see that the watch was in duty. We changed the second hand, which my watchmaker had in NOS condition in his secret chamber, as the one before was artwork from service history.
The 30mm Omega handwinder in general is one of the most reliable movements and looks so damned good. It is a pity, that you have to open the case to have a look on it! Movements were made for eternity those days...
However, Omega checked the serial number and send me the certificate. It was delivered to Sweden in 1962! Happy birthday, Railmaster!
