Teaser - Omega Speedmaster Split Seconds (Rattrapante)

I'm chasing this one for at least three years when a dear friend saw it during a trip to NYC.

Very limited (in special for Omega where "limited" usually means thousands and thousands) to 357 pieces, this one is hard to find and very expensive.

My warm thanks to the Omega Boutique team ("L" and "D") that chased this one for me.

Just a teaser picture. The ceramic ZrO2 dial and bezel changes color on every minute light change.

I will tackle this photograph challenge and I plan to post a full review of this one that I consider (IMHO) the most desirable modern (not so modern - 2012 if I remember) Speedmaster.

Now with seven Rattrapante chronographs (Five Omega and two IWC) I need to search for another theme for 2016 (2015 was a crazy year, for sure - I'm done!!!).

There are some watch features that I don\'t like: Minute repeaters, open dials, integrated bracelets and non standard strap attachments. Based on that, no minute repeaters for me. Yes. 2016 will be a "El Cheapo" year. Cheers, Nilo

. . . than pains in the wallet. Seriously, if I'd chosen to collect from the current collection, I'd have maybe three instead of thirteen (and counting). Not to say that's a primary consideration, but vintage brings a lot to the table if you have a truste...

To get few but unmolested ones. I love uncommon watches, so this excludes the vanilla ones. Case size is also a concern. Most of the vintage ones are too small and looks childish even on my meager wrist. I will stay away from the unrealistic priced ones (...

Omega is usually loose with the term "limited edition". But your is a real LE. Wear it in good health.

Nilomis extremely nice watch and a very seldom appearance to me with my usual Speedmaster encounters. I especially like to contrast it shows on your picture and how the bezel and dial are just same color. Are the any details about the movement? Maybe some...

This movement, derived from a F. Piguet one, has two column wheel controlling the chronograph and the Rattrapante hand. I know that Omega movements derived from F. Piguet don't carry, at least from the Internet, a very good image but I trust more on my wa...
