Strange Omega bumper back case and box:-)
Hello all,
I was sweeping internet for some new bumper automatic watches and I run into one from USA.
Yesterday it knocked on my door
On the pictures it was not clear that it has ref. nr. and I didn't ask. I checked vintage Omega site and for cal. 344 it shows 9 hits, and two were sold on US market, but both with gold filled cases and not stainless steel. The watch measures ca. 34mm in diametre.
Mine has no ref. nr. ( just a triangle??) but I doubt it is counterfeit as rest of the text in the back case looks very genuine.
Have any of you similiar watches and any information about possible ref. nr. or something?
Also it is first time I see this type of Omega box.

Hmm,so case and watch do not fit
So you are saying that the watch and case are misfit? This one came from USA and I should only clean a box a bit to make better appereance. Was Omega making some replacement back cases?

Earlier Brandt Family Mark
As far as I have been able to ascertain, the small tri-angle is the early makers mark of Centrale Boites in Bienne. The company was a separate entity owned by the Brandt family. Later we see the company mark CB appear. Hope that's useful Cheers Desmond
