I have never seen a case back like yours with this odd triangle...

I can only tell you something that I have observed about tis type of boxes: they are a nice combo of gilt brass and purple velvet.

I have bought 2 or 3 of them (not quite sure about the number) from Canada only. I suppose that this type of box was specially produced

(delivered) for the Canadian market - and I am pretty sure it is much older than the watch - most probably from the 30ies

So you are saying that the watch and case are misfit? This one came from USA and I should only clean a box a bit to make better appereance. Was Omega making some replacement back cases?

As far as I have been able to ascertain, the small tri-angle is the early makers mark of Centrale Boites in Bienne. The company was a separate entity owned by the Brandt family. Later we see the company mark CB appear. Hope that's useful Cheers Desmond
