Omega DeVille co-axial with armadillo bracelet.

Hi, my name is Ivan. Long time lurker, first time poster. This is a very special watch to me. It is my father’s watch, a present I got him to cellebrate that it was him and his dad who got me into this hobby. They emigrated to Switzerland pennyless from Spain in the early 70’s. After a few years of hard toiling and months of haggling, they “convinced” a Zurich jeweller to sell them two watches, both Omega: a burgundy Chronostop and a quartz Constellation with the gold torsades.
The DeVille needed a service and has just returned from the Omega spa. I have to put a good word for the Glasgow’s Omega AD in Buchanan street. They were both efficient and pleasant.

To my mind, this is the zenith of Omega bracelet construction. It wraps the wrist in an almost organic manner. It is comfortable and balanced. And was a talking point at the shop. About the service, just tested a 1.9 seconds gain per day.

So, if you have read until here, thank you for your patience, sorry for the pictures and hello!

Your fathers Omega is really nice. One of the first models with the co-axial escarpment. A very personal and moving story about your family. Thanks for sharing with us. Please give your father a big hug when you deliver his watch! Best regards. René

It is very good that you could get help from the Swiss people

And you have a very nice token of difficult times, as a proof that your dear family could overcome those hard times. My best. René
