Omega Dark Side Of The Moon - The ultimate chronograph?

Team,

Last Thursday late afternoon I did a quick stop at my watchmaker to grab a watch that was receiving full cleaning and oiling (A JLC Master Compressor Geographic, if one ask) and I bumped on a know seller that is also a customer.

Quick chat and he mentioned that he got a Dark Side of the Moon brand new for a customer and since this customer didn't maintain his order he said the magic words: "I must sell this watch".

Long story short (it was my first watch acquisition over WhatsUp!!!), I got it.

Friday morning the watch was delivered to my office but I had a series of meetings and I could only open the package much later.

I had saw the DSOTM at the Omega boutique but the lighting (this seems to be a standard for all watch boutiques) didn't help me to really SEE the beauty of this watch.

To quick iPhone shots, as teasers. I will do a full "on the wrist review" with pictures made with a real camera later.

The 44.25mm of the black ceramic case wear better than a standard Moon watch.

For sure 44mm is the new 42mm.

The 9300 movement entitles Omega to claim one of the top places on the chronograph (industrial made) world.

The quality of finish is outstanding. Everything is made of black ceramic, even the strap (very soft) buckle.

A quick and dirt lume shot. Based on the noise amount, the iPhone 5S camera don't do a good job there.

For sure I will miss two pieces that I sold to make part of the funds for this watch but it is worth the grief.

Thanks for seeing, much more to come.

Cheers,

Nilo
