off site links and the such....

Hi All

Been thinking about this thread... It is a very slippery slope when we start pointing out auctions or other watches for sale... I would hate for this place to be come a "spotters" forum .. A place to hey is this watch good ? or bad ? etc.. So every post would be " is it go or bad ? , did you see this one ... etc

There are people here and that "search for gold" on the net spending hours on search engines looking for an item. They find it in the digital wild and hope it does not draw the attention of the masses... Then someone ask a question on a forum " what do you think "... and it runis it for that "digital seeker" ..... Now everyone has there own opinion on this but I like to think we are all " digital seekers" and maybe we each deserve a chance to find " the gold" once in a lifetime. I do not want to take that away from anyone. If I come across something that was truly misleading I would pull the photos and anonymize the source for educational purposes.

especially the banning of links to outside forums and ebay sales. there are very good reasons for some of these rules, especially the non mentioning of prices paid for watches (retail of new pieces excepted). the forum was started with the aim of apprecia...
