Your observations on the Seamaster/Deep Sea case similarities seem spot on. Hard to chalk it up to coincidence. You should feel privileged to have both in your collection to make the observation to begin with

I actually like that worn bezel. It's history as much as the faded indices are.... PLUS: ...open them up! We need to see what evidence the inside of the caseback reveals....
