Military or not?
Dear Collectors,
I found these watches on internet market place and I bought them.
Firstly, are they military (or only style) or aren't? Movements are 23.4SC and 26.5SOB T2 (B).
Secondly, do I need to refurbish the dials or it is better to let them in the current condition?
I'm wating for all of response, opinion or ideas. Thanks a lot in advance.

This dial design...
Hi Janos, IMO this dial design is not military and was quite common during that time. Leave the dials "as is" - they are not so bad that it would require a total restoration. regards erich

Both watches are very interesting timepieces. The 26.5 has a very rare type of case with the movement incrusted inside the back-case. The 23.4 is also very nice but i have doubts about the second hand. Otherwise very nice watches!

not military, but in the style of..... not that it matters. wear them and enjoy them G
Definitely not military - not that it matters though....
A nice find - don't refurbish the dials as it will reduce the value significantly. I would suggest a gentle brush-clean of the dials, a light polish of the cases and perhaps new crystals. Enjoy them for what they are - vintage watches. Cheers Andrew
