It's one of the few....

Special/Limited edition WatchProSite (aka PuristSPro) watch collaboration releases, which was introduced in the early 2010s, just as I joined the forum. The manufacturer is St. Gallen of Switzerland, a manufacturer marketing its few lines of watches primarily for use by medical personnel/emergency responders due to their anti-bacterial finishes and material properties. Have a look at their rather rudimentary website, it's an interesting perspective and way of making and advertising watches in my opinion. The exact one I purchased, in 2018, happened to be the last one available for purchase from the former PPro staff (Anthony Tsai - thanks!) - it's number 63 out of 178 that were made, the number 178 was the PuristSPro 'brand number'.... Anyway, the obvious 'unicorn' feature of the watch is its analog respiration and pulsation gage on either side of the dial, measured by either of the 4 seconds hands as to provide next to no delay in obtaining a reading in emergency situations. I, as well as others, have posted extensive reviews of the watch on WPS. I can find links in case you're interested in reading more! Cheers and thanks for looking, Filip

Weekend Entertainment

“Dark Matter” and the Ploprof on a two-piece nylon strap. I like the strap, but it’s a bit thin and light for such a large watch. Hope everyone has a nice weekend—and a long holiday weekend for those members in the U.S.. ...

Thanks you!

And so the strap search begins...

It won't be too difficult.

Wonderful Ploprof....

great strap color, and perennially fascinating subject matter .... This is my choice for today.... ...

Ah, your dark matter is of a much academic nature.

I just started "Dark Matter" by Blake Crouch, a science fiction story à la "Tenet," and an easy page turner. Can you tell me about your watch? I've seen a few on WPS, but know nothing about them.

It's one of the few....

How does the PloProf feel in titanium?

 By: blau : September 3rd, 2022-18:54
I always suspected titanium would make this watch wearable for me, but I've never actually handled one.

Shockingly wearable.

On the nylon strap pictured above, it weighs in at 126 grams. On the bracelet, it is in the ballpark of 180 grams. Big, but still easy on the wrist. I recommend trying one on sometime.

I was knocked for a loop the first time a titanium Ploprof . . .

. . . made an appearance on my wrist in 2016. Had it not been for the foreknowledge a Railmaster was in the offing, I might well have given in. Art ...

I agree. It's a watch that defies its large appearance.

Was your preference the orange and grey variation?

Yes, grey dial with orange bezel . . .

. . . seemed the subtlest to my senses, a desirable quality for such an imposing watch. Art

Deep love for the original ploprof!

Many years ago, my love watches was kick started by the Ploprofs, Speedmaster 125s, and Marine Chronometers posted on eBay and the articles written by Chuck Maddox. I owe much to these, albeit disparate, sources!

Very fun watch- phenomenal book

I didn't know what to expect going in and was very surprised by how good it was. Thank you for the recommendations!
