Hi Graham,
I like the re-edition. Like you say, it's not s perfect replica but has a number of nice features which go together to make it an attractive package.
I have seriously considered this watch as it strikes me as being available at a reasonable price but have resisted to date as I acquire a few older Speedy's higher up my priority list.
I did buy a new Project Alaska recently in a fit of enthusiasm but with hindsight think I could have spent my money better - oh well.
So, for what it's worth - my vote is a positive one!

Sam, your pics highlight how much i like it as well. it might not be the iconic moonwatch, but its as close to the 1957 2998 that you'll get with a modern movement. its just what my son wants i think, something modernish with a vintage look. cheers Graham
