My favorite watch in my small collection is the PO 8500, I also prefer it over the newer versions as i like the deep black dial and the matte black bezel. The master chronometer in the newer versions though is tempting! The 8900 in the photo is my good fr...  

I didnt like the PO for a very long time, but since 7 month or so, i truly am in love. Your older version has more Bond feeling imo, which is a very good thing. The PO appeared very fast after its initial realease in the movies and this brings back some g... 

But I don't know how common they are in western Europe in comparison to other parts of the world. ...

This is one of the reasons I like it so much as I don't see anyone else with one on!! The 8500 definitely has a strong Bond or Tool watch feel that I truly enjoy everytime I put it on! Also very few members here show them... I also have a newer Aqua Terra... 

For all the reasons that you stated., especially the bezel and dial.

I do have the best of both worlds as my Aqua Terra has the 8900 movement! -D-

My best friend has the 9900 with the orange bezel I have the 9300 with the black. I would be ok with the orange if there was no other option but prefer the black unless we are talking flashy orange rubber strap in full sport mode. I wear it on my boat as ...
