So: what's a guy to do? This new/vintage Omega arrived from Bonham's today (thank you for the excellent care, Bonham's) and, courtesy of those irrational CITES regulations, it arrived sans strap. Regrettably, there were no spare straps in the strap box wh...

What starp...?

All I see is this stunning watch! :) More, please! Best Blomman

It seems to be true! ;) Go for a less loud Nato, it will be very nice. Great catch, my friend. Very much my " tasse de thé " as the Frenglish say! Best, Nicolas

Magnificent timepiece....

A true Omega classic. Feel free to post additional scans of this iconic watch when the urge arises. Darren

I`d go for a kangaroo NATO leather from "the timetraveller". Jed has a very thin and extremely nice kangaroo NATO in Melbourne.... ask google for directions....it has to be very thin...... where in Australia are you? kind regards from coffs. achim

Bravo, superb, congratulations Pplater....

Congratulations! You outbid me on that watch and I had missed the earlier gold cross-haired one as well, which was surprisingly sold on a bargain bid. I missed a few others at that auction but managed to grab a pretty Cartier as a Christmas stocking-fille...

Sorry about that, chippy!...

What is worse is that this Omega - and the gold one on bracelet! - were 'consolation prizes' for having missed out on the primary target at that auction: the 1958 JLC Geophysic. :-( Cheers, pplater.

This watch is...

. . . the club. This 30T2rg is the capstone . . . . . . of my collection. It's the watch most Omega enthusiasts aspire to own. One member of the alphabet soup gang . . . [image from ebay listing] . . . just acquired this one last week. A thread from the d...

Thank you very much indeed for all of the trouble that you have taken in putting your post together. It was especially enjoyable – and illuminating – to be able to look back over the 2009 post you were able to dredge up. The most telling feature to which ...

I feel very sorry for you, Pplater. That is really frightening to see how many dials have

Hi PPlater, Actually this is not a re-dial! I would rather call it a replacement dial of unknown source. They have been sold for a while on ebay... I think it is far better to have this kind of dial installed than a bad re-done example. The watch is not a...

I'm not sure about your center seconds chronometer . . .

. . . but there is some room for doubt about that one as well. It would help to have detailed macros of the dial, and also of the movement and inner caseback. Detailed photos may be a bit of a bother, but it would be helpful; you've got a good case as it ...
