The case state that this is a reference 2652. Movement number did indicate that it is from year 1952. Just curious if they did use such honey comb dial when they first came out and if the dial colored originally or the color is from the patina. Thanks :-)...

the patina indicates sun damage o the top lacquer layer. Very nice and even. You could have the lacquer removed (I have seen this system work well on guilloche dials) however you then need someone who knows what they're doing to coat it with a gossamer th...
