I personally don't miss a see-through case back because Omega's finishing is industrial and seeing the movement isn't very thrilling to me, but it's just my feeling of course. The 5960 is an appealing reference with several appealing variants. Thanks agai...
I very much want the Racend Timer. There were almost 2,000 examples, so not rare. But I have had a hard time finding one.

Oh, I'm surprised that you didn't find one:
in December 2023 I could try one on in one of the Paris Boutiques and it was for sale. So I assumed that not all of the 1949 examples had been sold. They may be all sold now, but I think it's worth asking an official boutique. Best, Emmanuel
One or two boutiques might still have an unsold example. Unlikely, but not completely impossible.
Very difficult to be sure, though.
Wonderful, beautiful watches (although I don’t care for the white gold one). They ought to launch a series like that again, in 38mm but a bit thinner than those are.
I saw a 1948 (?) in the NYC boutique years ago and didn’t buy it: Argh…!!
An example of the Racend Timer 1949 was for sale in one of the Paris Boutiques
in December 2023: I was very surprised because it meant that not all the 1949 examples had been sold. I guess Omega customers buy mainly Speedmasters and Seamasters. I personally like the different aesthetic of the white gold, but would need to try it on ...

How this Museum no. 9 is still for sale (or was a few months ago) is a clear sing of how hard it is to sell watches with unusual shapes. I had never seen the other Olympics pieces: truly out of the ordinary. With all my gratitude. Best, Emmanuel
