Both are great watches.

I do own both and they are quite different...and to a certain degree complementary.

The SMP is your friendly everyday diver with classic proportions and and a more elegant design. It is sensibly lighter and, yes,to a certain degree also more comfortable on the wrist.

The PO is more extrovert and "sporty".It wears completely different mainly due to the added thickness..and case dimension.Pretty close in wrist presence to something like a ROO.

In terms of overall quality I have not really seen any significant difference which makes the SMP the better value for money.

Great if you can have both but if I had to choose I would probably go with the more versatile SMP....although the PO makes me smile a bit more every time I wear it smile

Best,
Gerard

The planet ocean vs the seamaster 300? I have owned both multiple times and am much more drawn to the planet ocean line. I do think price wise the seamaster 300 offers more bang for buck though. ...

I love the whole Seamaster line and hope to have one of each of the major..

great watch though.

I owned a planet Ocean 2500D a while ago, and sold it to get the seamaster commander's watch

Both has plus and minus for me. PO definitely more legible in terms of hands. The bezel is easier to grip. But the bezel design is generic. The seamaster has more distinctive characters, like scalloped bezel (although can be slippery to grip), skeleton ha...
