the only one to go for really is the standard model as it has the same history as all the others. if you want something that harks back towards the vintage, but is newer then try the 1957 'replica' made between 1998 and 2001. it has a steel bezel and broad arrow hands so looks like the very first model, but is powered by the modern 1861 calibre. the only difference between 1861 and 1863 is the finish on the movement is better on the 1863 as it has a display back. if a perfect world go for a vintage 321 calibre with a display back.

a standard modern moonwatch will look just like the 105.012, but will be shiny and glow in the dark.
