Ah, that's even better! A correct crown . . .
. . . adds much to the appeal. A few of mine, including the Tiffany chronometer, have replacements that don't reflect the originally issued designs.

The caliber 343 (if I am not misinformed) existed both as Chronometre and non-chronometre. As for the crown, yes it is replaced. Please post some better photos of your dial and inside of the case back + movement. Maybe we can find some more info on your w...

Unfortunately you initial reaction that this is not a 343 calibre is correct. It is a 342. That explains the situation. It was sold as a 343, but I am still pleased as I got it for reasonable price. Is now at the watchmakers for a full overhaul. Thanks fo...
