Team,
When this watch was announced at Basel this year (2016) I got mixed feelings.
First of all, an annual calendar to me brings no impact, since I switch watches every day (or more) and I don't like watch winders.
Second, the cursive month names (at least on the pictures) don't seem to match the overall clean look of the Globemaster line.
Finally, I'm dreaming for a non-date Globemaster. Yes, the platinum version comes without the date but the MSRP scares me.
Long story short, I was invited by the Boutique Manager (the always smiling Mrs. L.) to see the single unit that had just landed.
Took some pictures and you can guess the result.
Notice the Fx styled shots (please, don't compare - Fx is the Master of the wrist shots).
The bluish tones are mesmerizing.

Let's see how it do in B&W:

Love the "pie pan" dial.

The Globemaster Annual Calendar belongs to the Master Chronometer line, double certified (COSC and METAS).
The movement, Omega 8922, departs from the classic 8XXX line in terms of operation. With the crown at position #2 (first out), it quick changes the date in one direction and the month on the other.
Thanks for seeing.
Cheers,
Nilo
