Omega

A very sad day and a great loss...

...to the horology community as a whole and even more so for his family, of course. His knowledge, iconoclasm and passion will be missed, as will his willingness to answer the many questions sent to him through cyberspace. He was always tremendously helpful and the few times we corresponded were a real pleasure and of great assistance. You simply knew you were talking things over with a true enthusiast and gentleman.
Like many other Vintage Omega and Chronograph collectors, I owe him big time and I only hope his articles and database, the product of many years of collaborative efforts on Chuck's part and others, will somehow be maintained for the benefit of us all and future generations of collectors. They, along with his wonderfully detailed posts, are a great legacy to be treasured.
RIP, Chuck, and thanks for everything,
Tom
