I’m sure that you have already tried this, but have you tried to move the our hand with the stem in the date adjust mode? Does it move at all? I believe they all come with at least a four year warranty.
It also fails to move when attempting to set the time. The warranty is five years so the repair should be covered. I am prepared to be embarrassed if the sales representative explains what I’m doing wrong.

When I move the hour hand one hour forward by setting the date, the hour hand executes a complete rotation until arriving at the numeral nine again where it stalls. Thanks for the information.
Never heard of this kind of a problem! And Omegas are generally very reliable. With a little luck, it will soon be fixed and back on your wrist! Good thing it happened under warranty!
I’ve had similar issues with three different Omegas, all limited editions and all purchased new and direct from Omega. After repair, I have sold all of these and will not but this brand again, ever.
