As the movement is a caliber 2500D, which is basically the same as the good old 1120 (or 1108) of the original, just with different escapement. All based on the ETA 2892A2 and with the same dimensions. So this was really a aesthetic decision, not technical.

For some stupid reason I let go of my original seamaster. This brings back all the good memories. It was/is truly a comfortable and capable watch and above all, it looks great. Just look at that wavy dial.
