i have previously posted pics of all 3 of my sm300's omega.watchprosite.com i sent the last one off for a full refurb and pressure test and its done and should be back friday. its had new dial, hands(original stick hands which i believed were unavailable)... 

I think the best strap will be a nice black NATO, no harm can be done with that IMO. And they're cheap ! Filip...  

le bimbo, i' not sure about Nato's as i've never found them very comfortable on the wrist. i've actually got some here, original MOD issue ones. i'm going to send them to Vernon, but might try one first. i've also got a 24mm Zulu black one here which feel...

I agree with Le Bim - you can't go far wrong with a (good quality!) black nato on a watch like this. I also think brown might go well - it looks very good on your Speedy re-issue. What about the replica plastic diving straps I keep seeing on vintage Blanc...

...a proper Admiralty Grey G10/NATO. Is this the one that you got refurbished with the intent that it was 'fit for purpose'? In which case, the strap should also be fit for purpose. Thus, the aforementioned G10/NATO or the mesh.

so young, yet so right again Ben :) i happen to have a 20mm grey G10 here. i was going to send it to Vernon, but it looks like he'll miss out :) they are made for roughie toughie soldiers not wimps like me so they rub on my weak and pathetic wrists. i'll ... 

...some getting used to. It seems so pale, but it definitely grows on you and is so appropriate. I guess you could try it while waiting for other options arrive, if it doesn't work for you, Vernon won't have to miss out!

I know it's a finacial stretch, but it is the perfect strap for the SM300. A nato strap is a good interim option.

While I prefer either Black or Admiralty Grey G10/NATOs, that looks really good. How do you find the height of the watch when worn? On my less wrist-hugging watches, I usually cut off the keeper strap to lower the profile. I only leave it on watches that ... 

Is not really a problem, Ben, as the watch is not that thick. It is much more problematic on the Polaris, much thicker. Best, Nicolas

They raise them by about 3+mm....Only on my watches for diving....you hit them on every door frame....stay away with that Polaris. Though, when you cut the keeper off, they make a good key-tag.

I tested one on the Polaris, and frogot it as soon as I saw the outcome... A Flying Saucer on the wrist. Best, Nicolas

it arrived 40 minutes ago (give or take a second) and i've already tried it on a grey nato and its now on black rubber with steel deployment clasp. the watch is fabulous and i'm pleased i had it done. its been pressure tested down to a true 30m which is e...

thanks Nico, it has resulted in a particularly good job. by coincidence or from reading all the diving posts i've been thinking about learning to dive once i've moved and got life on track. i dont know whether i'll be able to do it with so many knackered ...

Art, i was very lucky when i stumbled on my current watchmaker. he did everything himself including the polishing. in original pics the side was pretty dented, but the only sign now is on the underside. pretty much anyone can replace dials and hands, but ...

just as i was getting used to the rubber strap on my SM300 i received a brown shell cordovan strap through the post which i immediately fitted. the smell and feel of the strap is just like i remember high quality shoes, belts and wallets. a fresh leather ...
