bezel correct?
Hi Cedric,
a very beautiful CK 2998! The dial is in stunning condtions! Is it a -5 or a -61 or -62?
Actually I do not think that the bezel is the old correct one. It is a later replacement bezel. You can see that at the size of the numbers and especially at the dot close to the 90. The orignal bezel from that period has the dot over the 90, yours on the right side...But it is not a big thing to find the correct bezel so no problem 
It would be much much worse if it was a 2998-1 or -2 as you would then need the BASE1000 bezel which is very hard to come along.

Agree with the bezel
and the hands appear to be later replacements as well. Overall though still a very nice watch.
About the hands and the bezel
Hi, According to the caliber's number, this Speedmaster is from 1960. I do not have the original caseback, so I don't know if it is a 2998-1 or -2. The hands are aftermarket. Omega has stoped the production since 1971. The bezel is a later Omega part. Bes...
