I had enough already of this DNA crap lol
Its a facist ideology anyway lmao )
But seriously
If all that matters is this bloody DNA
The only Panerai you should buy are the ones
With Rolex movement and Angelus movement no?
It's also possible that someone can love the shape the
Classic lines but not necessarily have the wrists to carry it
Off
If DNA was that important they should never
Have made the pam 6 7 8 in 42mm right?
Also using your own analogy why did Patek make
A chrono in 42 mm
They should have made the 5070 in 36 mm

I would be tempted to say no.

I loved to see that Panerai used the 44 mm cases in the pre vendome era.. And I still love the Pre V Panerais. Now, I think that 47mm in THE size for a Pam. To make the diffeerence with the Pree V era. To play the historical card. No need for the easy 44 ...

Not sure if this is a good analogy..

you gave 34mm ultra thin Panerai & 47mm PP as 'extreme' examples whereas we're discussing 44m Luminor 1950 style case. I'm not sure a mere reduction of 3mm in case size would make Panerai a 'small' watch hence loss of brand's DNA. As such, I see no re...
You mean it would be better if they were split in categories?

I agree with you Nicolas, 47's belong to historical Vintages, 44's belong to the Pre-Vendome era and re-mordernized/re-styled pieces, the rest to a 'Tricolore Green' I see no worries for a 1950 in 44mm, shape wise it is actually nicely executed. The quest...
That is another question, my friend. ;)

I was a bit provocative in my answer, I have to confess, but in the purpose to remind the roots, here, between the Vintage and what brought the Pre V era. And to enhance that since 2007, March 2007, there is nothing new under the sun. Aaah, In House movem...
I wish in could go back in time.

I fully agreed with you but some of us started much later and do not want to pay premium price for a simple movement. (looking from the other side). Back to Imran question, more importantly , not so much 44mm 0r 47mm , but affordable as watches are gettin...
YES!!!

as a 390 owner, absolutely. a 44mm version of the 372 would be my ideal everyday wearer
Considering the popularity of models....

such as the 233 and 320/351 etc, the answer should be yes, if logic were to prevail. I personally don't think it necessary, though. For super-personal reasons (to be sure) I consider the 1950 case a 47mm affair....exclusively. I also like the 233, 351, 32...
Of course they should!

They would sell loads of them, and make many enthusiasts happy. DNA? Panerai has made so many without regard to DNA that it should be a non-issue. If you don't like the model, buy another. 'Nuff said.
+1!
