Should maybe take a different approach when launching new products? Perhaps instead of announcing wether or not a piece will be a "Special Edition", or exactly how many units will be produced, would you prefer they do not declare those facts up front? Obviously they see the response and can't resist increasing their production.
Certainly I would prefer they make the decisions ahead of time before launching, but that only works if they stick to what they say. I can't think of examples of my other favorite brands announcing quantities for a limited model production and then changing them.
