The last Panerai I've bought....
in the true sense of the word. The most iconic Panerai in my mind. No rolex's "donations" anymore. The second model conceived by the "Florentines", but the FIRST...commercially produced. Every Tom, Dick and Harry, could walk into the boutique and buy one. No "digging", no treasure's unearthing, no cajoling the former owners, no speculations. Just walk into the Florence boutique, point at a model in the window and say: "I'll have that one, thanks". Now, THAT'S history for me. 
P.S. The first Florentine designed and produced watch was the GPF2/56 Egyptian.
That really is a stunning looking old school Panerai Logo Pre Vendome 5218-201/A..
