Radiomir 1940 Oro Rosso 513

Jan 31, 2015,00:46 AM

Considering  this watch to add to collection and looking for opinions on this version of the radiomir collection.  Really don't need to get another watch but have always liked the Panerai version in rose and have an opportunity to get one now.  Does this watch seem to hold its value over time and does the brown dial get old over time as well for those that might own one?  Thanks.

except for WG, because it looks like SS, don't fare well in the...holding value...department. It has to do with the "rough and rough" military history of the brand, I'm afraid. I have a rose gold one that I couldn't...give away FOR FREE, let alone get bac...

Naaahhhhh, it has a JLC inside. I'll wait for you....

It appears that this piece offers little to the Paneristi faithful and may be one to pass on with the reviews that i have received thus far. Thanks for the input.

Not only Rosso, even Pink&Yellow have the same...

lack of appeal on 90% of the..die hard/grass roots...Paneristi. As I wrote, white gold (and platinum) make it....just....only because the are close enough to SS.

Why are you wanting to purchase this calibre

of Panerai for it's maybe resale value??? For an investment ? If so IMO you won't have any fun w/ it , buy it because you love it, but it most likely won't hold any resale-value due too no Historical truth to Paneristies. But ohhhh !!! that mvmnt it holds...

If you love the watch, then my all means get it

If you want to get buy the Panerai for investment sakes, then I'd pass on it. For Panerai in general, stainless steel watches seem to hold value better than those made in precious metals such as rose gold. Cheers, Anthony

Why I am considering this purchase

That is not the main reason to buy it but always considering what the consensus on that subject is before buying. I like Radiomirs and have owned one before and only got rid of it due to a constant stem problem probably due to my overwinding. That is a co...

Your reasoning makes perfect sense

Plus, strapping on the Radiomir would give you a nice break from your Pateks and Rolexes. I fear they might get jealous over time as you may be wearing the Panerai more often :) Cheers, Anthony
