the purely..aesthetic..judgement on this piece, has never been possible. This because it has been at the centre of..idolatry..since its production. The vintage Angelus inside "stole the thunder". It has a beautiful tobacco dial, a killer 1950 case and the "lifesaver" (derivative from the GPF2/56) that, by itself, represent a pretty "catchy" feature....for me at least. Nothing to do with its more..serious..(brother from another mother) PAM267 that, inherited both the vintage Angelus AND the MammaMia. Without the aura of the supernatural, this model is just a HANDSOME Panerai, no more no less! If I didn't have to sell one of my kidneys to buy one, I would definitely have one on my wrist....as I type!!!!
