PAM317 make me dream, before i try it. I prefer PAM311, because:
The Panerai ceramic suxx, opposite to the ceramic of IWC, who is compact, heavy, and look like dark brushed steel or titanium, the Panerai ceramic is light, really mat, the black look like used plastic of a Casio.
The watch is too thickt, the saphir glass as too much white reflect on the full black watch...
I prefer PAM311, cause there no matter with the material, the Titanium roxxing. The brown dial ("nesquick" in french 
) is great... For me the PAM 311 is the beautiful Maniffatura since the begining of manuniffatura....

Message not clear you like it or you don't? The 317 is strictly speeking the same size as the 311, so I don't see how only one of the two could be too thick. As for the color it's a mat black (not plastic) and if I had wanted something shinny I would have...

Once you strap the PAM317 on your wrist, if it makes you giggle like a little child, then you know you made the right choice. If you have even the slightest dubious thought when you 1st strap on the watch, then you know you probably will eventually trade ...
