Not sure if it's fair to call it dumb...

As we all know, list price is nothing but a figure set by the manufacturer and it does NOT necessarily reflect the fair market price.   Moreover, there can be many factors that affects the desirability of a certain piece hence the 'fair' market price.    As such there're bound to be cases where people pay OVER list for whatever the reasons and many of them can be perfectly sensible...

Bronze Rush...

I did a simple addition and there are currently 59 Panerai boutiques across the globe. The new Pam 507 is limited to 1000 pieces, a special edition, assuming it's available primarily to boutique, that's about 16 pieces to a boutique. Here in HK, the wait ...

Hello Ian, Some people see watches as a good and quick way to make money. Of course they have the right to do so, but i ignore them. i own watches because of the emotions they make me feel and also because of their technical aspects. I want to feel my hea...

for ages now... Limited edition AP offshores, desirable PP's, special Panerai and Rolex Daytona, at one point or the others, all commanded a premium above the list price and given the transparency of pricings and ease of transportation, they all became ta...

I feel sorry for people who pay over list price for any watch

It's just plain dumb IMO. Regarding these bronze Panerai's, I predict the value of these models will plummet when Panerai makes more Bronzo's in the future. I just don't see why this PAM507 is a "hot" model because it isn't for me. It's just any other nor...

I agree about the selling if the liver……

I'd rather sell a kidney , it's more money, an established market so price is easier to negotiate, and you still live at he end of it ebbs use you have two, :) Then the 507 makes more sense -and worth the premium! Best Imran

I agree with that but I'll always stick with my opinion on this subject

I'll never pay over retail price for anything. That's just one of my principles. If it's a "hot" model and I can't get it for list price, then I'll pass on the model. - AT

My bet is there will be more bronze models

 By: AnthonyTsai : January 2nd, 2014-09:24
If I had to "bet it all" on either way, I'd bet that there will be more. Given Panerai's history of making more editions, I think the odds would be in my favor. - AT

quick profit for the new Bronzo 507

Normally, even VIP should not be getting more than one unit of allotment. If the 'VIP' want to sell his / her allotment for a profit, I guess there is no law against such. I guess what I am saying is, LET THE MARKET MECHANICS in working itself out!!! pete...
