Nice thought and glad you get to keep the 000 for now.

My story is different. I think the 774 comes close to the 000 in my own way. I like the blue OP logo which disappears from afar. The spring bar makes changing strap more convenient for me, and the snap caseback, well, I don’t intend to dive beyond 50m. Best of all, the height of the watch is just right at 13mm plus the 3-day power reserve makes it practical to keep the watch on weekend and bring it out on a Monday.

A casual exchange with a “newbie” saw me offering my Zero with a small premium to which he readily said yes. Of course, after having agreed on the sale, I let the matter stew for a bit as there was still a few days before the meetup. It just lay on a shel...

Let's say that....

when things were still on the...up and up...the Swiss were producing 001-002-004-006-007-008-009 (that would be 1998-2001,some T-dialled, some L-dialled) and the most massively produced models in Panerai' history (I think) 024-025 and the 40mm, automatic ...

Thanks for the added perspective, Sergio..

With some brands, you just want to feel what it must have been like during the “good old days”. With me, it is Panerai for some reason. Best, Echi

With some watches it was very easy..

With this one, not so black and white.. Thanks, Nico. I’m sure you’ve had plenty of those feelings through the years as you’re very careful about what you buy. Best, Echi

Really agree on the points for the zero

Does bring back memories for me too. Just to throw one into the equation for discussion purposes, how does the eight days 560 line up in the grand scheme of things? What r your thoughts?

From the purist point of view....

the presence of an ENGLISH script of the dial, makes the 560 a model for the....tourists. From the not-so-purist, an acceptable feature (who cares about history?) more than compensated by the in-house movement LOLLL

Nice one Sergio

Love the way you put it haha! I don't really like that liner "eight days". Seems a bit odd. But I'm more than happy w the long power reserve for sure tho (partially a tourist) :p

Too good! LOL!!! [nt]
