It depends...

It depends on what you are looking for. It is not a Historic Pam, if that is your first choice. These are more contemporary Radiomir's and are a touch smaller at 42mm versus larger the size of the more traditional 44mm or 45mm PAM's.

To me, I like these 42mm PAM's for what they are, the unique movements, the smaller size and the fact that they are Limited runs. I am not sure if they will gain in value like some of the other PAM's, but I pick watches based on what I like as opposed to how much they will be worth in time. I would have a tough time enjoying my watches if I worried about keeping them in mint condition for the sake of value, mine are well worn.

IS THE PAM 098 CONSIDERED DESIRABLE?

i am thinking of getting one that i found from original owner. This would be my first PAM. Seller says it is rare. Curious if it is a worthy PAM and one that may hold its value? Plz advise. Thanks If I get I will take opicts and post.

Yes it is no longer in production, but it's not "rare" IMO. It's held it's value as good as other Panerai's, so you shouldn't take a beating if you decide to resell in the future. Cheers, Anthony

is not rare and the chance of appreciating in value, given the lack of historical significance, would not be high. But then again, how important is that to you? Do you like the watch itself? If so that's all that matters!

If you really feel like having it and carrying it, go for it!, If not, forget it, any time invested in the process of getting it and then trying to sell it will be waisted! Cheers and good luck. Cheers. Luc
