Just less respected by the vocal community on the forums that care about certain details about what supposedly “makes Panerai a Panerai”. We tend to forget your average guy just wants a beautiful watch that functions well while at work, or relaxing at home. That usually means comfortable, automatic winding, useful (date, etc.), and easy on the eyes. Panerai doesn’t even offer rubber straps or bracelets for these so a lower water resistance shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Maybe! But honestly, it is not a problem nowadays to make a watch waterproof to 100m. That would habe been enough...
Panerai was always about dive watches. It is the essence of Panerai. So in my opinion the crown guard is well chosen for the DUE - but please with a sensible water resistance ... 🤷🏼♂️😉

I can't say that I have ever seen that one. It is so bad that it screams counterfeit.
The proportion don’t fit to my taste and the water resistence.
But tastes are different

Make it 100 m water resistance and here we go.
This line of products has nothing to do with diving....
it has been created for..Happy Hour..divers. Want a real diving device, they produce...plenty...of them in the Submersible line.

I'm with you. I have the feeling, though, that a 47mm could threaten the..user friendly, non brutish, "mundane" Luminor Due image. But that's only my opinion, to be sure.
