I actually like this Black Seal model w/ the OP logo on the dial
I think it's a perfect 1st Panerai along with the Luminor version (PAM000).
The Pre-V OP logo doesn't bother me on this model. I think it still looks "clean".
I'd go for it if you like it!

The presence of the english wording..Black Seal..
on the dial, the lack of the 9 and, in general one of the "busiest" dials on a 44mm Radiomir, make this model rather...unappealing to me :-) Cheers..

But I've looked through the other models and you may be right, at least it appears busy when compared to the chronos and GMTs. The Black Seal was really the first Panerai I ever saw in the flesh some years back when I got into this disease of watches so i...

I was referring to something like this, the quintessential Panerai. I would rather buy a 210 (if I wanted a 45mm Radiomir) than a 380. GMTs and Chronos have busy dials too..btw Ciao.... ...

As I always say, Richard, size doesn't matter.
you can go for small or big watches, this is not really what matters. The comfort on the wrist, the pleasure you have to contemplate it is far more important. You will get used to big watches, and with small watches as well. As long as the lugs don't over...

I do actually quite like the logo though. Gives it a more antiquated and nostalgic character, me thinks, but we will see. I'm going to try on some others, though with regards to size, this 45 is pretty much as big as it gets before it starts looking ridic...
Well the Logo was born quite late in the Panerai History.

I was referring to the....actual....production. Much like the MN which was "prototyped" in the 40s and only produced from 1993 :-) Ciao

I have the PAM005 for the rest of the week but I'm leaning toward this 380. It seems to be tugging the heart strings a little more plus it feels more comfortable on my wrist. I'll share my final decision soon enough. Richard
