Art, there's something about 2 wheels and an engine. having been a biker since i was about 12 and ridden high powered bikes on the road i have no such squeamishness. even attending a large number of fatal motorcycle accidents didnt change my own attitude ... 

... on my bike at high speeds (150mph+) ... nice and cosy behind the windscreen .... and if there's an obstacle, just a blimp of the finger/heads up and you slow down like no car can do .... at least at speeds above 40 mph ... .. In a car doing over 100 m... 

Filip, you have to feel what a car is doing through the seat of your pants. keep the car settled and smooth and its fine. i consider myself very lucky to have driven and ridden at high road speeds for a living with the occasional bit of cop work thrown in...
