It's a shame you feel you had poor treatment, but hand assembled mechanical watches sometimes do fail. And that can be all the way up to the most expensive watches you can imagine. Panerai seem to have a sold a reasonably large number of PAM111's to happy customers without issue. The watch is highly regarded and is considered a classic amongst regular production Panerais. 


Maybe your criteria for a mechanical watch are different from those of most people here and we're all missing something. Perhaps you could share your criteria and tell us a little bit about other luxury watch brands you own that you have had no issues with?

I bought a PAM 111 from an authorized dealer last June. What a mistake! The watch quit working after about two months so I returned it to the dealer. They checked it and said the amplitude was way too high, whatever that means. They sent it to Panerai and... 

And you come into a Panerai forum....

where people kind of..like...Panerai watches and share this "fiasco" because........ As they say: fair exchange, no robbery. I own 25 Panerais and I have...never....had a problem with any of them. So much so, I'm eagerly awaiting for my 26th (PAM375) the ...

Granted it sound like there where some obvious and legitimate issues. But it seem the AD did his job. It should not happen with a new watch but we are dealing with mechanical watches. The bottom line is that it should be corrected and it should be up to t...
