Personal taste...
I took the question regarding the domed crystal versus flat crystal to mean, 'if you had to pick one over the other, which would you pick?' In my case, I would pick the domed crystal of the 233. To me, this domed crystal resonates the classic styling of the watch from Panerai origins. The dome mirrors the 1950 case, matching the crystal with the curve of the boat hull-shaped stainless steel case. That said, I understand the practicalities of the flatter crystal and don't think that there is a right answer, only a right answer for each individual.
PAM 320 and 233

I believe Panerai went with the flatter domed crystal in the P.900x
