At that time, the watch industry in general (Except Rolex) , was introducing complications , but most of them were shown on the dials! The result was in some cases, a very busy dial. The main thing here is, "you have the complication , so let's show the complication". Panerai did the opposite thing. Luxury should always be discrete, and true luxurie is! Brands like Patek, Laurent Ferrier, or in other segments, like Loro Piana, Cuccinelli, Brioni, are in my opinion discrete. They use the best materials , the best technical solutions, but they are not shown...!
