About the Montblanc you post.
It is a chronograph.
The back is just, ........crazy f top.
Montblanc stole my heart for a month, and i gone into Minerva and its history.
Two brothers had a factory in 1858, and that was in Villeret.
Montblanc use the minerva history, and they integrate it.
In my opinion this is better than purchase Eta, Selita, or other movements.
But in watch history, you know, much of the watch makers purchase different parts from specialists. In house was not common. Even VC bought parts, and put in on, and made a watch. So otherwise it is not a shame a watch brand buy movements from other manufacturers.
But it look chique, and exquise to be independent and do everything in house.
The benefit a watch brand doing much in house is, that they invent more, and they give watches more charm and originality.
