and subsequently sub-dials too close together. It's probably not evident when wearing the watch, but in large photos the way the chrono second hand intersects with the logo and the '12' looks imbalanced...

But I think they solved it well on this new edition. What i really want is this guy. But when it was out I couldn’t afford it. It was available at an AD, I tried it on and they had even discounted it. And now I can’t find it anywhere. ...

I may be biased as I have the WG model. The dial is very clean too as clean as a Pulsographe can be, with only the text Montblanc on it and nothing else. I not sure whether you can still find one in the market now. I know the WG model does pop up from tim...

And with the 5070 those things bothered me very much, however over time they have become less bothersome and in fact I’ve grown to like the watch a lot. This Mont Blanc will suffer more criticism for this than Patek, because it’s not Patek. Unfair but tru... 

I was also thinking about the 5070. But the “discrepancies” between case and movement are much bigger on the 5070. This Minerva Chrono has 40 mm case and I cannot figure out the diameter of the cal 13 21-maybe someone can? The 5070 is 42 mm and the CH 27 ...  

...and the caliber is listed as 29.5mm so it seems that the Montblanc is less of an offender than PP in the small movement department. Still, if you look at the back, there is a lot of case between the edge of the movement and the outer case.

And I don’t think the dial suffers. But that becomes a more individual matter maybe. Subdials don’t seem cramping up in the middle ...

Yeah the 13 21 is epic watchmaking. Up there with all the best manufactures no doubt and regardless of who owns who. They own the villeret Manufacture 100% so it is definitely in house. Ideally I would have loved to see the Minerva logo on the front too-m...

It is the watches for a collection. I saved a few Minerva watches, but also some Montblanc models. The Montblanc watches are easy to get, but with the hobby it is the sport to find Minerva watches.

Totally tru. That mythical Minerva brand is far far more special then Montblanc.

That movement is a beautiful chronograph movement. The Minerva characters engraves, the pientere arrow. Having a Montblanc watch for the Minerva heritage inside. And it is all about Minerva. Richemont did a great job, so Minerva lives on.

Underrated brand that pays the price of first being a pen and leather artisan. One thing I like to do is to replace thevbrand logo by another to see if this changes my appreciation for the watch. Unfortunately and like every human it does. The brand name ... 

Yeah. They do respect the heritage. The Minerva workshops were left untouched and are still very much in use. And the Minerva logo can be found on the back side of these great pieces. they are priced reasonably for the level of horology you get. So yes! W...
