I agree with you the overall dial proportions isn't perfect (the subdials are much too centralized); the dial does have one redeeming feature - its sunburst design is very elegant. A fitting review, especially considering it was February 28th/March 1st ju...

Which I made the mistake of selling a few years ago...now full of regret. If forced to choose, I would buy this JLC version back. Why? Because of the movement and the better layout (imho)...no compromises from JLC. Perhaps some customers will be okay with...

I would still go for the JLC Master Ultra Thin Perpuual. To me the JLC dial is much more balanced. Besides, the hands on the Montblanc Perpetual just do not speak to me. But I am certainly delighted to see the positive steps that Montblanc have taken in t... 

And you are true: despite its competitive price, there are some serious contenders with JLC and GO... if you look at second hand watches. Fx

You have 2KUSD, 10KUSD, 80KUSD chronographs... it is basically the same complication and we don't ask why the price gaps are so large. There are clear explanations: finishings, materials, brands, craftsmanship etc... So... the same story with a PC watch..... 

I tried it in the metal today along with the other 2014 novelties. Initially I thought I will go for the Homage to Rieussec which is a fantastic looking piece in limited edition but alas.. I have to be pragmatic and admit that the Rieussecs are just too b...  

There is also another option... of course, it is not the same complication, it is a more modest watch but I love its dial, I find it more balanced. It is this one: Fx ...  

I tried it too! Here's a pic I took :) I must agree it looks great but I am not looking for a Moonphase only watch so the Perpetual Calendar is more appealing for me to add to my collection. cheers robin ...  

Love the way that the moonphase doesn't "eat" away the 6 oclock position. IMHO this model should be well supported. Thanks for the picture FrX Mike

I much prefer the new JLC Master Perpetual, it's like.......cheese and chalk to me. The Montblanc may be "cheap" but it does look it, in my opinion. Cheers Francois from Down Under
