However, as you already stated, to see the mechanical movement, even such an unspectacular one as the 2892/SW300, is important for the targeted customer group. this is cedrtainly not a watch for watch collectors, but rather for those who want to spend serious money (for the average employee, 10,000 Euros are serious money) on one fine timepice they will wear for the rest of their lives. The complication of a perpetual calendar exerts massive fascination on people who are not used to the possibilities of a micro-mechanical computer.
I appreciate that Montblanc strives after a more "democratic" distribution of its watches.
