Thank you Fx for the review
I tried it in the metal today along with the other 2014 novelties.
Initially I thought I will go for the Homage to Rieussec which is a fantastic looking piece in limited edition but alas.. I have to be pragmatic and admit that the Rieussecs are just too big for my small wrist.
The Meisterstuck Heritage series fitted me much better and I really like this perpetual calendar! I love the case and dial design and my initital hesitations were the bicolor rose gold colored hands and indices on a steel case. I am generally not a bicolor fan but in the metal, Fx is right, the rose gold colored hands and indices do make the case and dial warmer and now I like it too.
Although I don't find the cluttered sub dials a problem, I am concerned they are hard to read. After trying it in the metal today, I find readability reasonable for me.
Overall I like this watch! The dial and case are beautiful. I love the classical looks even though it may look a bit "common". It wears very comfortably too and fits all wrist sizes including small ones like mine. I wish the sub dials can a bit bigger but that's not too big a deal in the whole package. The movement finishing is not a problem at this price point too.
This may well be my 3rd Montblanc watch if I rule out the Rieussec or Twinfly. I really like it more after trying it on. It may be my chance to own a beautiful perpetual calendar at a good price.
Are there Montblanc watch collectors like Rolex or Pam collectors?! ! Am I becoming addicted to Montblanc watches to become a MB watch collector? ?
With MB's strong showing in 2014 and the future direction they are taking, I won't be ashamed even if labelled as a Montblanc watch collector now!
Enjoy the pics of this lovely Meisterstuck Heritage Perpetual Calendar I took today. Will share more on the other 2014 pieces very soon (from an Asian perspective)
