Strikes me as sublime on a few levels.
The dial reflects a classic look and register-size and location for a chronograph. The large balance wheel and gears/minute-hand combo is extremely accurate, easy to read and easy to set. The large movement fills the transparent caseback with just a thin border of the case…relatively rare.
I have no problem showing this Minerva Villeret movement to friends who sometimes ask and saying that to me, this is the most beautiful design, finishing and view in my modest stable.

I've long loved this series. One day I'm hoping MB will piece together elements of the different series of this watch to make the perfect 1858 Tachy. The closest so far for me would be the "Origins"... if this was made in a satin/brushed/sandblasted case ...
