it reminded me of one thing I wanted to point at:
All watches from the Montblanc Villeret 1858 Collection (now discontinuedI) carry on the backside "Fait main a Villeret" (handmade in Villeret). The "newer" models with the same calibers carry "Swiss made". I once heard the rumor that some pieces of the caliber have been outsourced whilst the whole caliber of the Villeret 1858 collection has been handmade in Villeret. The different origins on these watches would support this rumor - next to the quantities of calibers (13.21 and 16.29) that have been produced in the meantime.
And as I said before I believe that there is a difference in finish between these "versions".
