Even though I did get a great price when I bought it, I would pay full retail for this watch. It is worth the asking price, IMO. The case, dial, hands, movement, even the piano gloss box - I adored everything about it. I expected this watch to be in my small collection forever, and to go to my son one day.
So that can define the level of disappointment I experienced. It was so bad, I was happy to lose money and get rid of it. What does that tell you? Really, I could not have imagined it. Even after it broke, there was heavy disappointment for me, but I remember thinking it gets fixed and we move on. I had an AP fail, and recently my Chopard. Those were both fixed as promised. Chopard told me 3 months and it took all of that. And then it had a scratched crystal from the repair process, and they took care of that. I am quite reasonable. I gave Chopard the 2nd chance, they took care of it, and it is done. Back in my collection and I love it. I wear it without ever thinking anything negative.
But the Montblanc, the experience was so poor, I knew I could never wear it again without worry. I do hope all the very best for the current owners, the watch itself is as good as any I have ever tried.
