I could not live without a Reverso Duo any longer, so ......

I bought my 3rd one. When I was new to this watch hobby, I went to a watch store to learn more. There, the sales person of a brand that I had never heard of, namely JLC, took a Reverso Duo from the case and before my eyes "reversed" the white dial on the ...

absolutely stunning… this is the Duo I would acquire too

just to confirm… this is the blue dial version? Those purple hues are wonderful +++

Yes, he confirmed that in his post...

"I love the colored "front" dial that changes from blue to purple."

Great story Ron.

A big congrats on your purchase for the third time. Reverso an eternal cool and classic watch. Enjoy!

Thanks, I too agree. It's such a fun watch in many respects.

Eternal, classic, iconic, and beautiful too.

Very nice enjoy.

It's fun to show non-watch people the 2 dials.

Well said. I totally agree that both dials each have their own charm.

It's nice to marvel at those dials as well. Wear yours in good health.

Do you notice the flaw in the second photo?

 By: patrick_y : June 25th, 2023-05:16
Do you notice the major dial flaw in the second photo? Night is defined as 1800h to 0600h and Day is defined as 0600h to 1800h. But this dial has gotten it mixed up. So either they misprinted the hours, or they misprinted the words.

Ha! I never noticed and never paid attention. It's a lovely dial.

Maybe the idea is 24 is definitely "night", so from 24:00-12:00 gets called night. And then since "12" is definitely day time, at least up until 19:00, 20:00 or even later in the summer time up north, so it's "day"??

yes, I think the Night/Day text is merely there as an aesthetic title

Rather than some kind of super-precise indicators… I think everyone knows how to read the 24hr time reasonably well. Both dials look enchanting

Other Reverso Duo models have the hours different than this model...

 By: patrick_y : June 26th, 2023-17:02
Other Reverso Duo models have the hours correctly printed. This is just a strange mistake that oddly only applies to this specific blue JLC model. The mistake has been in existence for years. JLC knows about it. But just hasn't taken any action to adjust ...

No. It's a mistake. Compare it to other dials...

 By: patrick_y : June 26th, 2023-17:00
Look at other models of JLC's Reverso Duo, most of them don't have this mistake. It's a mistake JLC has known about for years. They just haven't made any fixes to it yet. Because 70% of the customers don't notice it anyways.

I am 100% of those 70% who never noticed. Ha!

Actually, this dial below in a pic borrowed from the Internet has 6-18, 18-6. Now that we are talking about noticing and fixing dials, this one bothers me more because the 12 and 24 are placed at the sides right and left, respectively. Seems odd to have "...

You got it!

Yes, this is an example of the dial done the normal way. I don't know why this dial is done this way. JLC retail employees in Geneva and in Paris have admitted to me that to their knowledge it's a mistake. But there haven't been a lot of big complaints ab...
