thanks for all that info Dean....i really had no idea about the autotractor movement.
so to clarify your point, the date can go backwards without damaging the movement? I am thinking of the situation when I travel BACK from India and would move the 'blue' main hand 9 or 10 hours back. i am always paranoid about making those changes and running into a $$$$ unexpected service.

I LOVE this piece...
it's movement is the "Autotractor," which is the most robust movement JLC has made so far. It's also, besides the Ludwig Perpetual, one of the only grande date models that can go forwards OR backwards. I was really hoping for JLC to continue "Grande Date"...

the blue "hometime" hand will stay put and the "local" main silver hand can go forwards AND backwards and the Grande Date moves smoothly in both directions. It's really a brilliant movement and this was the only grande date version of the Autotractor. The...
